MY TOP 9 HOLIDAY 2012 LOOKS

Just felt like sharing some of my favorite 2012 Holiday looks. I'm loving the glittery eyeshadow it's perfect for the Holiday season. Nice thick liquid eyeliner is another must for me for this season, I've also been obsessed with green eyeshadow and to tell you the truth I hate the color green.....doesn't look good on me and to tell you the truth I almost never wear green eye makeup. Red lips are another obsession of mine, I'm also obsessed with the vamp lip look too.

LOOK OF THE WEEK - Smoked Up!

 

Yesterday night I attend a birthday party for a couple friends of mine. My first thought when I got the invitation was, what kind of look am I going to go for? I didn't feel like wearing a dark, black smoky eye, besides this was just a couple friends all getting together, it wasn't like I was going to a club.

After thinking about it I decided to go for a soft but pretty smoky brown eye. Brown isn't as dark as black so it's def not as harsh and for a birthday party I thought it was the perfect look.


So I got my sleek palette out and created a super smoked up look! I was wearing a very soft blue for a day time look, I went to play group with my daughter  and then right after went grocery shopping so I just quickly dazzled my eyelids up with some soft blue, some white, and a little tiny bit of dark brown ( I had to make a good impression on the other moms at play group :p ) I quickly transformed that into my smoked up evening look.

WHATS TRENDING THIS FALL - RUNWAY MAKEUP

We were all excited to see what the runway would bring to us this fall, I could not wait to see famous fashion houses strut their models down that runway wearing the newest must have fall fashion items, and we all know what goes perfectly with unquie fashion items, is even more unique makeup looks.

Were checking out Fall runway 2012 trending makeup looks.

 

Nina Ricci's models were wearing a very colorful stained lip, that looks like it's a bit of blood red mixed with some dark purple to create this very dramatic bright lip. For face makeup models wore light smokey eyes and a pale nude face. Very pretty. I seen this on the runway more then once, it never gets old.

 

 

 

Another very popular runway look this summer, which is similiar to the Nina Ricca, but is slightly different. This look had a much darker lip, it was more of a deep plum, with a completely nude face, and a touch of mascara. The look on the runway looked very cold and modern, which went well with the collection.

 

 

 

Prada featured some very unique makeup. Orange and black color-blocked eyelids, with a very white face and nude lip. This look reminded me a lot of fall and I really liked it.

 

 

 

Jean Paul Gaultier, featured a very nice looked, sketched lashes on top of a smokey eye, with a nice nude lip and nude face. I think this look will become very popular this fall, and I look forward to trying this out on myself.

 

 

Weathered cheeks was another hot look on the runway this fall, was featured on A. F. Vandevorst models. I like this weathered cheek very much, other models were wearing brown weathered cheeks which I also thought match the collection well.

 

 

 

Last but not least is my favorite runway look of the season, Oscar de la  Renta had models featuring, ultra-femine, very natural, youthful, glowing skin. I love this look it's so fresh and clean and youthful, I adore it and it was defiently my favorite look of the runway this season. Natural is sometimes best.

I think we all know this young Hollywood star, who played in the very popular movie series, Harry Potter, it's non other then the beautiful Emma Watson.

she looks, young, fresh, but is making a bold statement by wearing the red lips with this elegant look.

Beautiful green, smokey look, that this girl is pulling off extremely well.

I love this look, and it goes so well with her brown eyes and dark hair, it's really beautiful.

This look wouldn't fit my complexion very well, ( blue eyes and blond hair mhmmm.....NOPE!) for those with my complexion, try using a grey, brown, or black palette it will complement your complexion more.

See how she doesn't go all the way to the brow bone with the dark green eyeshadow, she keeps it very clean and only shades her eyelid, I also like how she shaded in her eyebrows, they match really well with this look.

Let's talk about the over dramatic smokey look, I know I like to talk about the smokey look but its because so many people wear it as their every day look, it has transformed from the  night time look to the every day wear and people are succeeding in wearing this look all the time.

Take Victoria beckham she has the right features to wear this look as her everyday look, she has brown eyes, a dark complexion and dark hair, I find alot of celebrities with this look tend to wear the smokey look for their everyday look and they're rocking it.




Here's another celeb that loves to walk the red carpet wearing the smokey look and Eva is famous for her always smokey eye and it matches her perfectly.

She is also rocking the under eye concealer trick, I did a piece about it a little while ago showing pictures of Kim kardashian wearing the famous makeup artist trick.



Kim K is another famous celeb who is known for her smokey eye, shes also the one that uses the under eye concealer trick and rocks it, in this picture you can see how underneath her eyes and right above her cheeks it looks brighter and younger, that's the concealer trick doing its magic.

So now you know what it takes to rock this look get your makeup out and try it, see if you have the right complexion to wear this daring look as your everyday routine

LOOK OF THE WEEK

This is an extreme version of the smokey eye with a hint of purple blended in the crease and the tear duct is frosted with white eye shadow or whit eyeliner.

This most likely a look you would wear at night to a night club or something like that, maybe some kind of cocktail party make sure to line the top and bottom of your eye line and eyelid with black eyeliner so theres no gaps showing in between your lashes.

Love this whole purple look it's very good for people with brown, green or hazel colored eyes, it tends to really bring your eye color and your complex to life.

Now I know purple is a hard color to work with sometimes because the wrong shades put together can make you look like a street walker and we don't want that, but you really just need to blend and play around with the colors, find the right looks for you and keep enhancing it by adding different shades.

Love this soft but edgy makeup look.

I tried this look the other day and it came out really well, purple just wasn't really my color and a put a shade on that was a bit too dark so I look a little funky hehehehe

I would also recommend wearing eyeliner with this look because it makes it look more complete I didn't wear eyeliner with it and It ended up looking incomplete

LOOK OF THE WEEK

This weeks look of the week is this gorgeous  red/Goldy looking winged eye.

It looks fierce and very dramatic, mind you people this eye takes alot of patience and time, you need to blend perfectly.

I have tried this eye and it didn't turn out like this at all I ended up putting way to much red in it and looked really bad hahahah

 I think people thought I was a street walker or something hahahah so don't over do this look people or you'll be looking like a pornstar!
