PRODUCT REVIEW - St Ives Timless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer

 

 

 

If you guys watch the Dr Oz show you'll know he recommend this product to reduce wrinkles. I found this product on pinterest and decided to buy it and give it a go. Now I'm a moisturizer freak! I love trying different formulas, because I have such dry skin my body knows which ones work and which ones don't. I didn't buy this product for is moisturizer benefits I bought because of it's collagen benefits.

So here's the thing, I would not call this a moisturizer, because it does not make your face feel moisturized at all after using it. I applied moisturizer after using this cream because my face was still so dry, mind you I do have extremely dry skin, so for someone with lightly dry skin this might work as a moisturizer.



The texture is a bit runny its not thick and creamy like most moisturizers, and is a bit oily feeling when applying it to your face, after about 5 or 10 minutes it soaks into your skin and makes it feel smooth and soft. It has a really weird medical smell, almost like a doctors office or a dentist office something like that. It doesn't smell bad it's just a bit of a weird smell for face cream.

 

 

As for the collagen renewal properties of this cream I can't say if they work or not. I do have fine lines under my eyes and I didn't notice them deminsh. But you have to remember this cream isn't going to take your wrinkles away it's going to prevent them from happening. I like this cream, it has become a good friend to the rest of the products in my nightly skin care routine package.

Pros and Cons

 

Makes your skin softer and smoother if you use it every night, it's a great natural product unlike alot of other collagen boosting products on the market. Has a really weird medical smell to is but you can get past that. If you apply a lot on your face it'll burn your skin so be sure to apply a small pea sized amount.

 

 

My Conclusion

 

Like I stated above, this cream has become a part of my nighttime skin care routine and I'm sure I'll keep buying it once I run out, that is until something better comes along.
