I thought I'd take a little bit of time to share with you my favorite beauty gurus on YouTube. I watch most of my favorite beauty guru videos when I working out or before I go to bed. These people have tons of great tips and tricks to max out your beauty knowledge so get subscribing and learn some new tricks.





 Kandee Johnson


kandee is a great makeup artist and is extremely popular on YouTube and also her blog is pretty good too ( I still prefer her YouTube channel tho) Shes super bubbly and always happy, she shares bits about her personal life as well has awesome makeup tutorials. Shes so funny and I can always count on her for a good laugh. I also love when she includes her little daughter in her videos, shes so cute.

Another great sense of humor, is british blogger zoella, I have to say lately I've been loving the British bloggers, I have a little obsession with them and secretly wish I had their accent. Anyway zoella's a little different then Kandee, she talks more about different products she loves or hates, she also shares her awesome clothing hauls which I love. Shes more focused on beauty and I don't think I've seen any makeup tutorials from her, but shell def make you laugh.



Tanya Burr


Speaking of British bloggers, the british girls are on fire, like 50% of my favorite beauty geeks are British, you go girls. I love Tanya, I feel like if I meant her in real life she would be the exact same as watching her on videos. Shes very sweet and honest and she has the cutest sweetest voice ever! She shares a lot beauty information and does great makeup tutorials. Her eye makeup is so pretty and easy to do. She also does really good celebrity makeup tutorials



Laurenbeauty


Yet again another girl with a accent. Lauren is Australian and is extremely honest and laid back in her videos. She has great makeup tutorials and does the best celebrity makeup tutorials. She also has super cute outfits. She sometimes makes it seem like doing makeup is so easy and quick and you can tell shes super comfortable with playing around with it.



CarliBel55


Carli has some really good makeup tutorials and is pretty big on YouTube. She does great makeup tutorials, offering you dupes for high end products she's using. She also has a couple hair tutorials as well. I love her she does her makeup so well and I love her lip tutorials. She's so pretty and laid back and guess what she doesn't have a accent hehehehe don't be disappointed.



Prettylilmzgrace


Grace does very in depth makeup tutorials, you can tell shes a really good makeup artist. Most of her looks are very colorful and vibrant and she really loves to mix and match different colors. Her tutorials are more on the advanced side but are def good to watch. You learn how to layer and blend different colors to achieve the best results.

Wayne Gross is the only male beauty guru I have on YouTube but let me tell you, he has the best secrets, making every makeup look, look perfect. He does have makeup tutorials but I find I like his makeup tips and tricks better then all the other videos he posts. He also has great product reviews and guess what he's British hahahha and here comes the accent hehehe I don't know what it is with me and british people.

I love makeup and beauty more then anything but I'm also super obsessed with nails and I have tried countless times to do my own acrylic nails. Although it didn't work out, some time in the near future I'm sure I'll try again. Naio has great super professional nail tutorials and she has the best tricks to get perfect acrylic and gel nails. she is also British :p. Her nail art is amazing, and most of it is free hand, shes brilliant.....can I say that even tho I'm not British :o


Dope2111


Promise is a super super talent artist, and is extremely popular on YouTube. She does makeup transformations into different celebrities and movie characters. She has great contour skills and can transform you into a totally different person. Her tutorials are super simple, it's all about shading and contour with her and I find her tutorials very knowledgeable.

Some of the worst and most disappointing products of 2012

At the end of every year all the beauty gurus and makeup artist's dish out their favorite products of that year, but you don't see a lot of beauty geeks talking about the products they least liked for that year.

So today I'm going to talk about products that really let me down.

Heres my least favorite products of 2012


 Almay Smart Shade Smart Balance Foundation

 

It's a skin balancing makeup which is suppose to match your skin tone perfectly and look super natural, like your not even wearing foundation. It's extremely streaky and turned my skin orange. Super patchy, in some spots it'd be orange and other spot would be nothing.



  Physicians Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls

This powder is the worst seriously, you use just a little bit on your face and it looks like you pounded it on. It does not blend it's so bad, and looks like you took a clump of dirt and rub it into your face, I swear a layer of my skin was rubbing off trying to blend this into my foundation. Ever see those girls wearing way to much bronzer but they don't know it.....yeah there probably wearing this.



 Lise Waiter Feline HD Waterproof Mascara

Probably the worst most exspensive mascara ever! you think cause your buying a high end product it's going to be great, but that's not always the case. Lets start with this I'm not a big Lise Waiter fan, this product was given to me. it's extremely difficult to remove and after I was done removing it I think I had like three eyelashes left, I had to practically pull my eyelashes out to get this stuff off. Makes you eyelashes stick together like no other and it looks like you have five huge eyelashes by the end of the day, there so stuck together.

I used this foundation for a long time because I had no choice ( I was to poor to buy a better one ) and I hated every minute of it. Its streaky, cakey, and its a mess in hot, humid weather. It also has a big of a orange hue to it. aka like badly bronzed girls



 Loreal Voluminous Power Collagen

The worst drugstore mascara out there. Super clumy and runny. I can't even apply this to my bottom lashes becasue it gets all over my face, it's so runny, the stuff is a mess. Your lashes look horrible after you use more then one coat. It's dreadful stuff stay away from it.



 Sally Hansens Hard as Nails Hard as Wraps

 

This paint on acrylic gel is suppose to be a powerful acruliv gel that you apply to your bare nails. SInce I cant afford to go get gel nails done every month I thought this might be the answer to my nail prayers......wrong. It says it take 60 seconds for it to dry, mine weren't even dry after an hour, it scraps off and rolls up into this plastic gel type stuff. I can't believe I paid money for this stuff.



Maybe I'm using these products wrong, or maybe there just complete trash but heres my least favorite products of 2012

Pretty good mascara, gives lashes a curl and sperartes them, but has a odd smell.

One of my favorite drugstore mascaras ever!

I don't know why I have this in my cabinet because its THEE worst mascara ever! no jokes!

 

Joes Fresh Beauty Blender

I use this every day to blend in foundation, powder, it's a great tool to have.

 

Maybelline Master percise Liquid Eyeliner by Eye Studio

I have used this liquid eyeliner for like a year now and its my favorite.

 

Covergirl perfect Point Plus Eye Pencil

To be honest I love this for shading in my brows.

 

Revlon Super Lustrous in Siren

Nice lip shade but it tends to dry lips out and the color doesn't stay very long

 

Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlight/Concealer

My favorite drugstore highlighter, I use this under my eyes, makes my eyes look so bright

 

Rimmel Moisture Renew in Coral Chic

I hate this lipstick but the color is so pretty I can't stop using it. It had a horrible taste, drys lips out and doesnt stay on your lips for very long, it also gets on your teeth and along with the taste, the smell its bad.

 

Gosh Liquid Highlighter

I dabb this along my cheek bones for a little extra shimmer.

 

Lashem Eye Brightener

This is part of my nightly routine, when the dark circles under my eyes look super dark I use this before I go to bed to brighten reduce the darkness.

 

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Pure

Yet another product I'm not super crazy about. This lip liner has nice color but when I line my lips with it and my lipstick has faded I have a horrible pink lip line left over and its looks horrible.

 

Gosh White Eyeliner

I use this quite bit to make my eyes pop.

 

Revlon Eyelash Curler

Does what a curler is suppose to.....curl those lashes.

 

Barbara Carrnaza twezzers

I love these twezzers, there the best, I will never use another pair.

SKINCARE 101 - My Routine part 3

So recently my skin has been going through a phase, and I know why, it's winter!  Cold, dry air makes my skin dry out and become super tight and it tends to crack and break open, causing bleeding sores, this is mostly on my hands. So for part 3 of sinkcare 101 were talking moisturizer!

My face is another matter, in the winter I look pale and my skin looks super dry and yucky, I hate it! The other day I had a Revelation. Why not use some type of oil at night before I go to bed to moisturize and replenish my tired looking skin, since moisturizer wasn't doing the trick, why not try something different and new.

I had bought Bio Oil ( product review Here ) when I was pregnant with my daughter and I really liked it.I thought why not try using this on my face? I usually can't stand any type of oily or greasy product on my face, it really bugs my skin. I usually use Bio Oil on the driest parts of my body, my knees and elbows stuff like that and it always makes my skin feel so much softer and looks better.

 

One night I was brave and did it! I took a small amount of Bio oil and applied it all over my face. If it can fix scars, uneven skintone, and act as a awesome moisturizer, then why not use it on my face? Not something I thought of before. At first I didn't really like it but after a bit I got use to it and forgot it was even on my face and fell asleep. The next morning when I woke up, I went to the bathroom to wash my face and I looked up in the mirrior and was shocked. My skin looked replenish and so much brighter. The fine lines I had were faded. It felt so much softer and not as dry, felt like whole new skin

My skin really needed some moisturizer but nothing seems to fix it's insane dryness. But Bio Oil has been a dream. The dark circles under my eye seemed to get lighter as well, I couldn't believe it. I ususally use Aveeno for my dry, cracked skin but from some reason lately it just hasn't been cutting the cake.

So now before I go to bed, on night's when my skin needs a extra little umffff, I wash my face, apply my Vichy, and then apply bio oil to my face.

I call this the skincare 101

why not try it dry skins and see if this works for you, if nothing else is working and your skin is looking tired and dry.

I wouldn't recommend this to my oily skins because it'll probably clog your pores and cause breakouts. Since I have the driest skin in the world ( I swear, it's a curse ) I don't really get to many breakouts and oil is my skins friend.

I wouldn't do this every night but maybe once a week or something like that, because it might end up clogging your pores and causing a breakout.

Tell me if this helped your dry skin?

For night whens my face just isn't really that dry and I just need some moisturizer I reach for Aveeno 24 hours moisturizing lotion and slather it on. It's very creamy and usually is the only moisturizer that works for me but since its winter my skin needs a little more TLC and thats where the Bio oil comes in handy.

Tattoo makeup that you apply yourself?

Yesterday I was rather bored and lonely so I popped on twitter to see what the world of awesome, glamorous, famous, people were up to and I found a neat little video from Kandee Johnson. I'm a big fan of Kandee, she's so funny and awesome and I always watch her videos because there so frigging entertaining.


OK back to the video, so theres these really neat tattoo eyeliners out recently. There tattos you apply to your eye in a eyeliner shape. Its the same as applying a fake tattoo, only its eye safe and it looks like real eyeliner! Plus they come in different colors and designs, they look so awesome.

There not to expensive which makes them super tempting. DECEMBER INSPIRATION BORAD

We all know this months board is going to be filled with Christmas themed stuff, OF COURSE, what kinda of Christmas fanatic would I be if I didn't.

This month I've been obsessed with Kendall Jenner, shes so naturally pretty I hate her. Just kidding, I'm just a wee bit jealous. I love both Kendall and Kylie they're both really naturally pretty, and they have great body's could a girl as for more!

This month the Victoria's Secret Fashion show airs and that also gets my blood pumping. I watch the show every year and I adore the creativity and passion that goes into the super sexy lingera. I also love the runway girls they're my idols. Some of my favorites are, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, and Candice Swanepoel. The fashion show airs this Tuesday at 9 or 10 nto sure heheh guess I better check.

Also obsessing over those funky Christmas leggings I see a lot of girls wearing. There so cute. The first time I seen a girl wearing them I was wow those were weird leggings but I soon decided they've become one my favorite fashion icons for winter.

Christmas nails has got me so excited, I love super detailed nail art and I've seen some really nice designs, including snowflake nails and candy kane nails, so cute.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EYELASH EXTENSIONS

 

The latest eye craze is semi-permanent eyelashes. Yes I said it semi-permanent! I know that sounds crazy but you really can't save false eyelashes after you used them, so you have to buy a new set every single time you go out which is alot of eyelashes and they don't come cheap, they range from $3- $5 per set if you add that up its alot of money, so why not go a different route and get them professional done.


I'm not saying this is better or cheaper because I've never had it done, but I've done alot of looking into it because I was looking to get them done last summer but after reading some stuff about getting them done I quickly changed my mind.

They may make your eyes look fuller, and more sexy but they don't come with a cheap price tag, they can range anywhere from $60 to $200 and have quite a procedure to them.



Most spas do eyelash extensions and there a lot more to them then people think. When I first heard about them I thought it was some eyelash serum that professional trained medical people apply to your lashes, boy was I wrong.


The process is done one lash at a time which is glued to your upper lashes using special medical adhesive glue that can last any where from a month to 2 months, you will have to get  touch ups every 3 weeks. You do have to be careful when washing your face because the more you rub your eyes and wash your face the faster the glue is going to wear off and your beautiful long lashes will fall out, and last time I checked patchy lashes weren't a trend.



There are a couple requirements afterward, I heard you can't shower for 2 days which is crazy but I'm not sure if that's true. For ladies like myself who have very sensitive skin, eyelash extension may be something you want to skip you don't want to end up being allergic to them and wake up with huge swollen eyes, ouch!





They come in a variety of different materials, the more realistic your eyelashes look the higher the price tag is going to be. I'd prefer the cheaper looking ones because they still look realistic to me and no one can tell when there all intertwined with your real lashes.

Another great thing about  having fuller, lusher lashes is you don't have to wear as much makeup, which is a must in the summer since I'm always at the beach swimming and bathing in the sun theres no way I'm putting mascara on to just have it run down my face and not know it, looking like a idiot ( yes I've done this many times in my short life )


Just make sure you check all your facts before making a decision like this one they are semi-permanent so make sure its something your really want.

NOVEMEBER INSPIRATION BOARD

Hey guys so I wanted to start doing a new post every month, it's going to be called, inspiration board and it's going to be posted every month with tons of different pictures of makeup, clothing and just anything in general that inspired me for that month.

I thought it would be kinda fun doing a little colleague each month of things I'm obsessing over for the month.

So, this month I wanted to add a little bit of runway 2012, a little bit of winter and a little bit of products I've been obsessing over..

I also have been interested in anastasiya shpagina, shes the Ukraine girl that dresses up to look like a real life amine doll.  I think shes very talented behind a makeup brushes and for some reason I'm just so curious about her.


There are a couple products I have been obsessing over including, real techniques brushes and every skin product from clinic.

I also been checking out graftobian creme foundation, they have really really good coverage and goes on very smooth and nice. I've been dieing to try this foundation, It's also not expensive which is something a girl like me roots for.

OPI SPECIAL EDITION - SkyFall Collection

OPI recently released a new collection deadicated to the new add on to the James Bond movies, Skyfall.

The collection features really metalic bold colors that are very pretty and might I add there a bit christmasy to so there you go kill to birds with one stones, buy nails polish from the skyfall collection and get season colors as well.

Ok so there really really bold and pretty you can mix and match and creative beautiful pieces of art on your nails.

SLEEK COSMETICS

I finally ordered a palette from Sleek makeup :) I've been meaning to do it for awhile but I just didn't have the funds but yesterday I looked in my bank account and was like yes I have a little extra money, so I got on the site and I found the palette I wanted and ordered it!

Best feeling in the world is when your buying something online ( for me it's mostly makeup ) and you click the checkout button and it's all yours, now you just have to wait 2 weeks for shipping -_- not a fan of good ol shipping but hey what can you do.

OK so anyway the palette I bought from Sleek makeup was a  fall color based matte shadows palette.

This palette is from their I-divine eyeshadow palette collection, they have 14 different palettes, along with a couple others this one was one of my favorites. I love wearing brown since I have blue eye and this palette was just chalked full of beautiful matte browns, I was thrilled.

 

The color of this palette is called Sunset, featuring 12 shades of high-quality very pigmented shadows. Coming in at only $9.99 I was so excited I think it cost me $12.00 plus tax. Along with eye shadows they have tons of other wonderful products I can't wait to get my hands on.

 

 

 

Sleek makeup is a very new makeup to me, I've never heard of them until I was chatting on specktra and one of the girls on there mentioned them as being one of the most high - quality products for a very reasonable price. I decided to check their website out and really liked it, I did some research and found lots of reviews on their products and it seems people love them. They are UK based so when ordering their products shipping time will take a bit, roughly around 2 weeks I was told, but that's not really a long time compared to other shipping times..............China





 

As soon as my palette comes in I'll have to test it out and write a review on it.

ARE YOU ALLERGIC TO YOUR FOUNDATION?

 I've been applying makeup on my face since I was 16 years old and just recently, after apply my foundation my skin seems to get irritated, I don't get hives or even a rash but get this, I begin to sneeze and my nose starts to run, then my nose gets extremely itchy.

Is that not the weirdest thing ever, just my nose nothing else and it's starting to drive me crazy. I started thinking OK, I've been using the same foundation for a year and foundation has never bugged my skin before, why after 6 years of applying it is it bugging my skin?

There are a couple factors that could be causing my itchy nose, one being my skin is on the sensitive/ extremely dry side, maybe I need to moisturize more, because I know when I wash my face and I don't put moisturizer on it right away it starts getting tight, dry and very itchy.



Another thing that could be causing this itchy nose is my makeup brushes, there are couple things that will make your skin breakout. If you use cheap brushes, if your brushes haven't been cleaned in awhile ( which mine have not ).

The technique you using in apply your foundation is another matter, some people say if your buffing your foundation, in a circular motion it can irritate the skin and cause, hives, rashes and itchiness.

Mineral makeup is another thing that seems to bug more sensitive skin, do not use mineral powder, foundation or eyeshadow if you allergic or have sensitive skin, chances are it'll make you break out.

Read whats in your foundation as well, sometimes it just one ingredient your allergic to and if your using foundations with the same ingredients your going to be allergic to them, so trying using a foundation with different ingredients and see if it helps.


If you've just bought a foundation and have used it and have broken out chances are your probably allergic to it, you should always preform a patch test before you buy the product to make sure your skin agrees with it.
