MAKEUP TRICK - How to Contour Using Foundation + powder

I like to contour my face when I'm going somewhere classy or important, I don't do this every day because it is alot more work then just slapping on some foundation and buffing powder. This method does take some time to get use to but to be honest your skin seriously looks flawless and so perfect even in harsh light. I will warn you to be careful around your hair line when buffing in the foundation and powder, it'll go into your hair line and look bad so be sure to rub it out if you get any in your hair line. I used a kabuki brush to buff all  my contour lines in, beside the highlighter which I patted in using a beauty blender. Make sure you buff the contour lines in well with a brush it create a flawless look, which is really the key and look perfect. Don't forget to buff that harsh bronzer line in, in step 5. I draw a harsh line with bronze and then buff it it, it seems to work really well

Products Used

Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Foundation
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Vanilla - Step 2
Maybelline Dream Lumin Highlighter Concealer - Step 3
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation in Honey - Step 4( sorry I forget to add the picture of this product )

Rimmel Bronzer - Step 5

MAKEUP TRICKS - Self Tanner

I thought I'd share this little secret I've been keep for awhile now. A lot of people apply a self tanner to their faces, because it helps keep your skin looking even and bronzed without all the negative stuff that comes with tanning. I don't like self tanners, because they usually make my face look more orange then bronze and I don't want to go around looking like a carrot. So I came up with this little fool proof makeup trick. I used Quo primer and Sally Hansen's Airbrush Legs, this gives me a light perfect tanned base for my makeup. Try this method out and see if you like it.

MAKEUP TRICKS - Flawless, Airbrushed Looking Foundation

I thought I'd show you my flawless foundation routine, I've been getting a lot of compliments about how great my foundation looks, so I broke it down for you, to show you the steps I go through every day to achieve this airbrushed look. Buffing your foundation into your skin makes it look alot more natural and ensures that no harsh lines are left behind. Using a finishing powder also completes the look, controlling shine and setting your foundation to ensure it lasts all day long. You can use any type of brand you'd like to recreate this look. If you have any questions feel free to comment or email me. ( sorry for it being so small, can't seem to make a bigger)

Which foundation is right for me?

When it comes to choosing a foundation, it can get a bit confusing and frustrating, so I wanted to  make a bit easier on some of you ladies, by comparing some of the best and most popular drugstore foundations on the market. I'll also be telling you which foundation will work best with what skin type.

I'm going to be going over 4 different foundations, Maybelline dream BB cream, Revlon colorstay whipped foundation, Revlon Photoready Airbrush mousse foundation, Maybelline Fit Me! liquid-gel foundation.

1. Maybelline Fit me! Liquid foundation.

I used this foundation for a year or two before I started to explore and buy different foundations, I don't like to change foundations and even looking at other foundations it felt like I was cheating on my poor fit me foundation. This foundation is a gel-formula and is a bit runny to me. To be honest I don't know how I wore this stuff for so long. It's cakey, streaky and you can tell your wearing the stuff. It doesn't have a scent which is nice but I just didn't like the formula of this foundation. I don't know if it was my skin type or what but this foundation does not agree with me. It's horrible in hot weather and has medium coverage. The staying power is horrible even with powder. It seems to sink into every crack and cranny on your face and makes your fine lines really stand out. I will not be buying this foundation ever again. The finish is more of a matte finish, well some people prefer it but I like more of a dewy finish. Kinda irritating on my skin, and made my skin super itchy and uncomfortable. So if you have sensitive skin, this foundation might not be good for you. It's kinda heavy and it felt like I was wearing a mask all day.

Skin Type - Oily

Pros - scent free, blend able, cheap

Cons - streaky, cakey, bad coverage, not very long lasting or durable, sinks in fine lines and makes them look worse, irritated my skin and made it itchy, not hot weather proof.

Finish - Matte

2. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

I was looking for something to use on my face that would even out my skin tone and provide a little bit of coverage, and something that didn't feel like foundation. I wanted to let me skin breath. Some days I don't have the time or energy to apply foundation and make it look flawless I just want something quick that doesn't take a lot of maintenance and does the job, that's when I started looking into BB creams. It was between the  Garnier BB cream and the Maybelline one, I ended up getting the maybelline one. This formula is brilliant. It covers, feels light and amazing and looks flawless. It has more of a matte finish and has light coverage. I call this the lazy day makeup. It last about 6 or 7 hours and you don't really know if its fading or not because it looks so natural and pretty, you can barely even tell your wearing. It blend right into your skin and doesn't bug it. It also leaves your skin feeling nice instead of yucky, like some foundations. I really like this light-weight version of foundation, sunscreen, moisturizer and serum all in one. The one thing I did notice with this BB cream is it tends to stick to the dry patches on my face, which is kinda annoying

Skin Type - All skins
Pros - light weight, blend able, easy, streak free, all in one serum, sunscreen, foundation.
Cons - Light coverage, not very long lasting
Finish - Matte

3. Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation

I bought this after I heard tons of rave reviews about how good it was. I decided to buy the whipped version because I like creme makeup better. This foundation's staying power is amazing!!!! I wore this foundation on my face the whole day, no fading or anything like that. Its also perfect for hot humid weather because it truly stays through anything. It`s a bit of a pain to wash this stuff off so make sure you have a good face wash. Its an amazing foundation but it does have some flaws, it's not very blend able and the color shades seem to be off a little bit. It has a dewy kinda finish and has pretty good coverage. Doesn't have a scent and the texture is super creamy. I would buy this foundation if you have oil skin with blemishes because it covers them well and they stay covered for a long period of time. I never found another drugstore foundation that is a durable as this one.Great formula besides the fact that it doesn't blend the greatest.

Skin type - Oily to dry
Pros - long lasting, great coverage, fade proof, water proof, heat proof, no scent, great texture
Cons - not very blendable, shades are hard to compare to your skin tone
Finish - Dewy matte

4  Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Foundation

I must say for a drugstore foundation this is the top of the line. I fell in love with this foundation as soon as I buffed it into my face. It's very light and pretty. It has the most dewy-ish finish ever, and that's what I'm always trying to get. It's pretty long lasting and has medium coverage. It's a very very shimmery foundation so if you don't like shimmery this isn't the foundation for you. Another thing I figured out is it's a very oily formula, like super oily, the only reason I find it to work with my skin is because my skin is super dry and a little oily feels nice. It has a very nasty, weird smell to it, which I don't like and sticks around for a bit after you apply the foundation. It is my favorite foundation at the moment and makes my skin look flawless. This foundation might not work in hot humid weather as it's quite oily and I would think it you might sweat it off.

Skin Type - Dry
Pros - not cakey, not streaky, very light, gives flawless looking skin, great packaging, good coverage, makes your looks great in flash photos, pretty long lasting
Cons - weird smell, really oily, not hot weather proof, is a bit too shimmery.
Finish - Dewy

Have you tried any of these foundations? Did you like them? Why, or why not did they work for you?

HOW TO MAKE YOUR EYE MAKEUP MORE VIBRANT AND AIRBRUSHED LOOKING

Just a little while ago I discovered a bran  new way to make your eye makeup look more airbrushed and perfect well getting your eyeshadow to pop with more vibrant color, no matter what color your applying.

What you need to do is go out and buy Maybelline Coverstick Corrector Concealer or something like it. Its a corrector/conealer stick that you can use underneath your eyes and on those yuckies that need to be concealed and hidden.

Now before you use this make sure you have applied primer to you entire eyelid all the way up to your brow bone, beacuse this concealer does tend to cake up if you don't apply primer before hand and you also don't want it creasing in your lid.

Now take the maybelline stick and dot it all over your eyelid all the way up to your browbone, then take a sponge, I use a beauty blender, and blend it evenly all over your eyelid all the way up to your brow bone. You have now just prepped your canvas for painting.

The reason your doing this is because your bare eyelid has natural colors and sometimes those colors can conflict with your eyeshadow color and make it appear lighter or darker and much less vibrant. I know for me I have weird purple veins that show and sometimes my eyelid is darker then I want it to be, so when I apply a white eyeshadow it looks grey, which wasn't what I was going for.

So to apply a concealer/corrector creme it creates a nice plain canvas for your eyeshadow, which allows all the color to pop and look perfect. It also makes your eyeshadow look very airbrushed and professional, so try this little trick and see if it brings out your eyeshadow colors. You can see the redness and the purple veins in my natural eyelid. I also get this dark red/brown color that that goes up to my browbone.

Once you've completed the steps above your ready for eyeshadow.

Try this trick and let me know if it brings out your eyeshadow

Thanks for reading

MAKEUP TRICKS - Get a Bright, Youthful Undereye

One of my favorite makeup techniques is the bright under eye look. Mostly seen on Kim Kardashian but created by her makeup artist Mario Dedviano. This look is feature on tons a different celebrities but was made famous by Kim K.

This tricks is very hard to learn but it's a bit tricky to perfect. You really have to make sure the concealer is blended out very well or you ll get this really harsh bright under eye that just looks horrible. ( example below)

Learn the Trick

Everyone does this trick differently. Some people apply the concealer right after applying their foundation, some people apply all their eye makeup and the concealer trick. What I do is I apply my foundation, no powder or anything just my foundation, then I do my eye brows and my top eye makeup, then I do my concealer. I did this because if I apply the concealer before the top eyeshadow all the loose eyeshadow will fall on the concealer and it'll create a huge mess. I don't like doing my whole eye ( the lower lash makeup ) because then I'm just covering my lower eye makeup with the concealer and I have to redo it. So I propose you apply foundation then apply your upper eye makeup then concealer and then lower eye makeup.

Lets begin!

Step 1 - Apply some type or corrector concealer to your under eye area but extend it all the way to your ear also let the concealer come down a but making a triangle. Makeup sure you have good concealer that's not cakey or it'll look bad.

Make sure you get this area. Kinda dot the concealer along this area .

Step 2 - Apply a highlighter of some kind to the same area as in step 1 and blending it in using a beauty blender. By dabbing the beauty blender along it gives you more of a airbrushed look with no lines showing.

That's all you need to know ladies. Couple products I want to mention that work really well for this look, Ben Nye banana powder works really well to highlight the area and bring it out. Another thing is concealers that are peach based can cover up dark circles really really well. I think makeup forever has a concealer palette and it's amazing I'm dieing to buy it, it's a little on the expensive side.

MAKEUP TRICKS - How To Get You'r Undereye Concealer To Not Crease?

So, like a huge majority of women I have dark circles under my eyes, there not like super dark or anything but they still make me look tired and older then I really am. I also envied the celebrity's with bright, young looking under eyes, little did I know they weren't born with extremely good genes they had a little help from the makeup fairy!

I have found a really nice under eye routine that not only keeps my dark circles concealer but helps the concealer to not crease. I have a under eye concealer that's not suppose to crease but you know what it lied and it still does crease quite a bit, I've tried different methods of trying to successfully cover up my dark circles and keep my concealer from caking up and creasing.

OK, the very first step to stop the crease is make sure you apply a primer to your under eye area and make sure you apply the right amount.

Once you've finished that try appling your concealer to your under eye area, don't rub it on or brush it on with a concealer brush because this can cause lines, instead get a beauty blender and softly dab it into your dark circle, this creates less lines and helps the concealer to stay out of your fine lines.

Once you've done that it's time for the secret weapon of no crease under eye concealer......POWDER!

That's right it's that simple its just powder, but theres a certain way of appling it that helps your concealer to stay put, instead of brushing the powder all over your face to set your makeup, you need to push it into your foundation to ensure it's not just going to fall off, same thing applies to your under eye concealer, get some kind of brush, get some powder on your brush and press the brush into your under eye area, this will insure that your concealer won't crease and it'll last long.

No creases after 5 hours of wear ;)  ( I do have a couple wrinkles though yuck!)

Try this trick and see if it helps

Hoped you enjoy this little trick.

HOW TO FIX TOTALLY DAMAGED HAIR

So today I wanted to talk about hair. I know hair really isn't my thing but I wanted to share some tips with you about how to maintain healthy, shiny, silky smooth locks, because once upon a time my hair was fried, dead, and very dry and I tired everything, I googled the crap out of google trying to figure out a way to revive my poor hair. I found a couple things and decided to try them but it wasn't until I figured out a nice combination of products that my hairs state would improve.

The reason why my hair was so damaged was because as a kid I think I dyed it every color in the book, I also use to flat iron it every single day, sometimes more then once. By the time I actually cared about my hair it didn't care about me, it was horrible I had to cut it all off and let it grow out. After a couple years of leaving my hair I had nice long natural hair it wasn't perfect like the hair models on TV but it was much less damaged.

Then I had to screw it up again, I didn't want to be brunette anymore so I went and got it professionally colored......WRONG. The hair dresser messed my hair up and I had to go to a different salon and get it redone, that's when my hair started to get frizzy, it was always a big ball of knots, I couldn't leave it done or put it up because it was so dry and damaged it hurt to put it up and if I left it down it got extremely knotty.

OK so enough about my hair history, this is how I got my hair back to its natural health well still getting it colored every 3 months.

I used three products that really Improved my hairs texture and overall health

1. Before I  shower I apply a small amount of Coconut oil to the ends of my hair, and let it soak in for about ten minutes, I usually let it soak in well I'm working out. Now be careful cause if you put to much in, it can be really hard to get out. If you do want to do your whole head don't put a lot in or you'll have to wash your hair 15 times. It has a very strong coconut smell which some people like but I'm not a big fan of.

What I used - African Gold super rich formula coconut oil hair conditioner
Where I purchased - Shoppers Drug Mart

2. When I'm in the shower I wash my hair and then I apply a deep conditioner by Loreal. Be sure to squeeze all the water out of your hair before you apply the conditioner or it'll run all out with the water  and not absorb into your hair. Apply that and let it soak into your hair for at least 10 minutes then rinse out. The smell to this product is really powerful and makes your hair smell very nice but like I said with the coconut oil I don't really like this smell either.

What I used - L'OREAL Total Repair 5 Replenishing Mask
Where I purchased - Wal Mart

3.  Last step, after you've towel dried your hair and it's still quite damp apply some Moroccan argon oil. I pour a bit into my one hand and then rub my hands together and run them through my hair getting the ends really well. If you apply a lot to the roots of you hair it'll look greasy and you'll have to wash your hair after a day, So apply just a bit to your roots. I love the smell of this product it's very yummy.

What I used - renewing moroccan argan oil
Where I purchused - Wal Mart

I would only use these products together if you have very dry damaged hair, if you have oily hair these products might not be for you and might make your hair even more oily.

Use these products every time you take a shower, one product before, one during, and one after, and you will see results. You just have to stick with it.

I would also recommend washing your hair every 3 to 4 days, the more you wash your hair the dryer it gets.

HOW TO FIX SHATTERED MAKEUP

We have all been there, your appling blush on your cheeks and the blush compact slips out of your hand and goes crashing to the floor shattering in a million different pieces.

NOOOOOOO! That was MAC blush, that stuff doesn't come cheap, your angry at yourself for dropping your beloved blush, you quickly look at your bank account praying you have some extra dollars, only to find it in the minuses. Now what!

There's a simpler solution to your problems! I recently found this cool trick on pinterest to fix broken powder, my daughter was playing with mine and dropped it on the floor and it was totalled, so I decided to try this trick and it worked really well.

Here's what you do.

You'll need a bottle of alcohol and something to pat the powder down with.

I used a spoon, don't pat it down to hard or the powder will stick to the spoon and it makes a huge mess.

OK, pour a little bit of the alcohol into the cap to make sure your getting the right amount, then pour the alcohol in the case that the makeups in and start patting the powder down until its nice and flat, leave it for a couple of days, and BAM! all brand new.

HOW TO EMMA STONES PERFECT FLAWLESS FACE AND DEWY SKIN

I was watching a couple videos the other day of fashion shows and  I looked at the graceful size 0 models graze down the runway, I was intrigued by their makeup, it was very soft and natural with a perfect healthy glow that made he believe they actually ate some meals in order to maintain such a healthy looking glow, but it's all in the makeup, not saying models don't eat hehehe

The trick to the glow isn't hard at all you just need the right products and you need to know the right places to apply those products.

OK so I'm going to list some natural ways to get super healthy glowing skin.

Drink tons of water, this cleans out all the toxins from your body making your skin look healthy and glowing.

Different vitamins do different things for your body, taking vitamin A, E and C help maintain healthy hair and skin.

Moisturizing your skin can make it look healthy, I use Aveeno moisturizer, as I have extremely dry skin, this moisturizer, moisturizes for 24 hours and really gets deep into your skin, I'll use this moisturizer for a week straight and notice how much better and more healthy my skin looks.

OK so those are some natural ways and here's the make up.

( click to enlarge, bloggers be stupid and won't let me resize it :(  )

1. The before picture, taken without any makeup on, ahhhhh looks like a mugshot.

2.  Apply primer to entire face, just use a little bit because it goes a long way. Make sure you get under your eyes really well.  I used Quo total perfection face primer.

Then apply your foundation with a foundation brush ( or whatever you choose to use ) all over your face and blend until your entire face is covered. I used Fit Me! Maybelline, New York, 115 with e.l.f foundation brush.

3. Shade and clean up your eyebrows, sorry mine weren't done very well and it really shows in these pictures. Shade them in and clean them up. I used Perfect point plus eye pencil, grey khaki.

4. Apply concealer underneath your eyes to cover  dark circles, puffiness and to highlight, dot the concealer down to your nostril and then back up to the end of your eye, its kinda a v shape, as seen in picture 4. I used Maybelline, New York, cover stick, concealer, corrector and covergirl, inisible concealer.

5. Blend the undereye concealer into your face by using a beauty blender or some kind of sponge, and dap the concealer blending it into your skin. I used Joe fresh, beauty blender

6. Apply some pressed power to set your foundation and to make the concealer look a bit more natural. I used Physicans formula Powder with a powder brush from Quo.

7. Apply a highlighting cream or powder to the tip of your nose and the tops of your checks to give you a dewy skin glow. I used maioou cooked magic finish powder. Use a bit of bronzer for a more tanned look on your cheeks this also makes the concealer look more natural. I used rimmel shimmersun maxi bronxer. I also dusted a bit of blush on the apples of my cheeks. I used vasanit, rockies blush.

8. After you have applied all your make up it's good to set it all with some thermal water, shut your eyes and stand back from the bottle and spray your entire face and let dry. I used Av'ene thermal spring water for sensitive skin.

And there you ladies have it, flawless, dewy skin. The makeup magic way.

I am not wearing any eye makeup just a bit of mascara, I wanted my face to really stand out.

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial

love you

HOW TO GET MEGAN FOX EYEBROWS

Ever since I seen Megan Fox on the first transformers, I fell in love with her eyebrows, I loved everything about them, the shape, the density, everything, and ever since then I have been searching and with trial and error I think I found them, the perfect Megan Fox eyebrow.

I am just learning this method of the Megan brow so I might have a bit off but here's how it turned out

I  plucked my eyebrows and then started to fill in the gaps, I used a grey colored eyeliner to do this, some people use eyeshadow, use whatever you feel comfortable with  but make sure it matches your brow color. As I found out this grey was a bit too dark on my eyebrows and didn't look good with my blond hair.

Once I filled them in I outlined them to clean them up, with foundation, I used a concealer brush and outlined my brow, be sure to blend in it well.

And there you have the perfect Megan Fox eyebrow.

MY SKIN CARE ROUTINE

Before you apply your makeup, and when your taking your makeup off, you should always clean your face. If you don't properly clean your face, dirt and left over makeup build up and clog your pores, leaving you with breakouts that are hard to cover and ruin your day.

So, I'm going to give you my skin care routine, I use my routine in the morning before any makeup touches my face and before I go to bed, I can't stand waking up with makeup all over my face and my eyelashes sticking together.

 1-
First thing I do is grab a clean wash cloth and let the water run fairly hot, but really warm water works too, if you don't like hot water on your face, some people don't. Once it's good and hot soak your wash cloth in it and cover your face with it, the steam from the hot water on your wash cloth with open your pores, so you can clean all the dirt out of them.

Once your pores are open it's time to apply the face wash, make sure it's something that's meant for your face, we don't want it to be harsh on our delicate skin.

Rub it into your face and then re soak the wash cloth and squeeze all the water out and rub your whole face with the cloth, keep re soaking it and scrubbing until all the soap is off, then splash a bit of water on your face to wipe away the remaining soap.

2
- Now that you've done that it's time to apply a little Vichy, I love Vichy because their face products always work and are really gentle on your skin. The brand above comes in different formulas, I like the Normaderm face cleanser, and the night cream. I take a cotton pad and squirt some Vichy on it, then rub my whole face with it. It's smells like nature and always reminds me of camping and going to the lake , I love it.

3- Once the Vichy has dried it's time to moisturize your skin, now I have really dry skin so I am always looking for a good moisturizer that will keep my face moisturizer and healthy. The one I currently use and love right now is Aveeno, I use the cooling menthol kind and it really keeps my skin nice and moist, but when I wash my face to put my makeup on I use Keri moisturizer because after you put it on and it drys it gives your skin a nice dewy glow and I love that look.

well ladies that's all I have for you today hope you enjoyed my Skin care routine, and don't  be shy, share yours with me I love to hear about it, email or comment.

love you

MAKEUP BRUSHES AND THEIR USES

Like you, I get confused all the time on what makeup brush does what, what their names are and why is there so darn many of them!

Well were going to answer that question right this very moment - lets talk makeup brushes ladies.

SO, above is a list of the brushes I currently use every, single, day to do my makeup, I love each and everyone and they all have specific uses.

Most of the brushes are self explanatory, but there are some with different uses and weird names.

I want to talk about the Large shadow brush, so I use this brush mostly for my middle crease I find the shadow goes on well and the brush is large enough to cover the entire area.

Also the beauty blender is a really wonderful little tool that I simply adore, I use it to blend my foundation in, I don't always use it sometimes I'll use a different brush it just depends, I also use it to blend in my concealer when I apply the under eye concealer trick.

Mario Dedivanovic also uses the beauty blender for apply and blending.

The Bronzer brush I use for all my pressed powders as well as bronzer hence the name :p

The Kabuki brush I use for my blush and to apply shimmer powder to my check bones, girl's gotta highlight.

Hope you learned what your brushes are good for, comment or email if you have any questions.

love you
